Ioannina Snowshoeing

Meeting point: Ligiades parking lot, at the entrance of the village

Mitsikeli (slavic for Bear’s nest) is a mountain that rises to the east of the city of Ioannina. You shall meet with your guide at Ligiades village, get equiped and head off towards the two highest peaks of Mitsikeli (alt. 1800 - 1810m).

If the weather conditions permit it (clear skies), one gets a unique view of the Ionian coastline and the islands of Corfu and Lefkada to the west and mountain Olympus (the highest in Greece) to the east.
